Meet Your Photographer

Hi! I'm Paula. I am so glad you are here and have found my photography page! Let me introduce myself. I am a photographer specializing in fine art pet photography especially of dogs. I currently live in middle Tennessee with my husband of 44 years and with our three dogs Rem, Rylie, and new puppy Tag and two cats Bitsy and Ash.

My love of photography grew from a passion for hiking and kayaking and being out in the natural settings of woods and water. As I found I wanted to document my adventures, it was during that time I fell in love with photography. As I studied and progressed in my abilities with a camera, I  began photographing wildlife, landscapes, aspiring models, and my pets and anything else I could point my camera towards. During my time photographing models, I developed my fine art portraiture style that later translated over to pet photography. As my growth in photography continued to develop, I also achieved a high interest in first capturing the photo and then perfecting it as art in post processing that ends with the fine art portrait of your pet.

A strong concurrent hobby at the time, and still today, is training and showing my dogs in performance dog events. My photography hobby and my love of the dogs and cats I shared with my family, the culmination of joining the two formed the natural progression into my love of pet photography as a business.

My desire as your photographer is to capture the uniqueness of your beloved pet - to create photos that demonstrate their quirks and their own special beauty.
